A is for Alphabet 2023 (from the solo exhibition zuhause/at home) <br><br> Here the letter A primarily represents the alphabet and therefore language. It also represents Australia, Austria, Anna (my wife) and in German: Aufenthaltsbewilligung - that very sought-after document allowing a person to reside in a foreign country. <br><br> Printed on the sides of this oversized cardboard object are reproductions of hand written letters between family in Austria and Australia. <br><br> Subtly engraved on the face, utilising the crease feature of the cut and crease machine used to create folded cartons, are approximately 30 residential addresses where I have lived in the past.
